Paul Duke, 74, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Paul was born in Sherman, Texas on September 30, 1947, to Joe Paul and Margie Nell (Ledbetter) Duke. Paul grew up in Sherman, Duncanville and Ennis graduating from Ennis High School in 1966. On April 16, 1971 Paul married the love of his life Cozette Cox and they made their home in Ennis.

Paul worked for Ye Ole Butcher Shop, was the owner of Duke's Kountry Meat Market for eighteen years and worked for HEB for over twenty years as a butcher. Paul was a member of the Country Club Road Church of Christ. Paul enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and making bows, arrows, knives and canes.

Paul is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Cozette Duke; son, Jeremy Duke and wife, Tammy; grandsons: Jacob, Caleb and Jordan; brother, Robert Duke; sisters: Mitzi Cook and husband, Richard and Cindy Pechal and husband, Larry along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Josh Duke and sister, Jerri Ann Snell.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
