Pete Christopher Gutirrez, 54, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Pete was born in Ennis, Texas, on September 4, 1969, to Rebecca and Lucio Gutirrez. He graduated from Avalon High School, then went on to college at Sam Houston State to earn a business degree.

He lived with his wife Barbara "Kat" Gutirrez in Ennis. They were married for seventeen years but have spent twenty-one years together. He had one son, Caleb Gutirrez; three beautiful granddaughters: Haven, Harper and Hazel Castillo who were the joy of his life and he lived for them.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lucio Gutirrez, mother, Rebecca Gutirrez and brother, Frankie Gutirrez.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Gutirrez; step-son, Stevie Castillo; three beautiful granddaughters: Haven, Harper and Hazel; son, Caleb Gutirrez and Londyn Hovis; siblings: Albert Gutierrez and wife, Patsy, Samuel Gutirrez and wife, Olga along with numerous nieces and nephews. He had a special cousin he loved very much, Carlos Arriapa.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
