Pete Morales, Jr., 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Ennis.

Pete was born in Houston, Texas on August 18, 1932, to ElPidio Pete and Evelyn (LaMarque) Morales, Sr.

Pete served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for a total of eight years. Pete married Georgie Rose Vrla on February 21, 1955, in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis, Texas. Pete was an upholstery shop owner. Pete was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and Sokol. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and watching his family playing any kind of sports. Family gathering were some of his most favorite things to do including the yearly deer hunts and dove hunts at the Vrla family farm. Pete told his sons "if you can't handle Friday night don't go and it does not matter what you do, just do it better and faster than any one else."

Pete is survived by his wife, Georgie Rose Morales; sons: Trent Morales, and wife, Cathie, Clint Morales and wife, Lisa and Troy Morales; grandchildren: Mark Morales, Kyle Morales and wife Karen, Eric Morales, Calleigh Martinek and husband, Adam and Tanner Morales; great grandchildren: Grace, Sarah, Walt and Margaret Rose; sisters: Gloria Heilman and Lucy Stockton along with a host of extended family and friends.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Roy Don Morales.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
