Preston Robert "Bob" Widner, 60,  passed away on Sunday April 7th 2024 in Waxahachie Texas.
Bob was born in Bussac, France on August 14 1963 to Preston Widner and Caecilia Baumbauer. He grew up in Washington D.C., Kansas, Alabama, and Illinois, moving constantly due to His father's military service. Bob finally moved to Ennis in 1978 and graduated from Ennis High School in 1981.
Bob worked many years for Barbecue Wood Flavors. Bob loved to fish and spend time creating his own lures and sinkers with custom moulds. He loved to spend time with family and will be missed greatly.
Bob is survived by his mother, Caecilia Widner, brother Joe Widner, Sister in law Linda Widner, Nieces Natasha Walker and husband Matt, Jackie Wade and son Kolby,  Nephews Tyler Widner and Buddy Wade and wife Tara, as well as Lilly, Levi and Lucy Walker.
Bob is preceded in death by His father Preston, sister Virginia Clary and niece Shelly Duran.
Memorial services will be held for Bob on Tuesday, April 16th at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Pastor Matt Walker officiating. Burial will be at Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever.
