Ralph Gene Snipes' Obituary
Ralph Gene Snipes, 73, passed away peacefully in his home in Ennis, Texas, on Sunday, November 6th, 2022.
Ralph was born in Ennis, Texas on February 10th, 1949, to Pierce Snipes and Nora Marvin Snipes. He grew up in Bardwell, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School and Navarro College.
Ralph served his country in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. His working career included The Cotton Belt Railroad and First USA as a credit card processor until he retired in 2019. He married Eva Santos on May 14th, 1976 and they made their home in Ennis, Texas.
Ralph was a member of Saint Paul Episcopal Church in Waxahachie, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eva Snipes, 2 sons, Brad Snipes and his wife Shyinta, and Ryan Snipes, 3 grandchildren, Brennan, Kiera, and Emris Snipes, 1 sister, Mary Howard and husband Wesley, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relations. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ralph was a true adventurer who loved travel, the sea and the sky, flying Cessnas and skydiving (in his younger years!).
Visitation will be held on
Thursday, November 10th
from 6:00pm-8:00pm at J.E. Keever Mortuary, 408 North Dallas St, Ennis, Texas and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 11th at 2:00pm at J.E. Keever Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jack Stewart, Scott Snipes, Paul Snipes, Wesley Howard, John Safar and Floyd Ross. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
