Ray Edward Jackson went to be with his Heavenly Father January 11 2025.

Ray Edward Jackson was born in Ennis Texas January 10th 1949 to Daisy Vestal Jackson and Raymond Ray Jackson, he is the eldest of five children. Ray was raised in Ennis Texas where he attended Ennis High School after graduating, he attended Navarro College for some time before he joined the Army.

Ray served his country as a Military Policeman from October 1967 to September of 1971 in the Vietnam War. Serving his country was one of his greatest honors he spoke of the days past often, his experiences, his battle buddies and lifetime friends he made along the way. He kept in touch with many of his high school friends and fellow Veterans.

Ray married Barbara Jean Juricek August 18th 1979 in Ennis Texas where they started a family together. Ray and Barbara raised three children Courtney Breanne Dean, Todd Edward Jackson, Kyle Ray Jackson.Life for them was a great experience. They raised their children supporting them in every aspect of life from football to cheerleading and everything in between. Ray was big into sports and so were his late sons, where he got to help coach.  He was also a referee in the Ennis community as many folks know and remember. He loved being part of the community and helping where he could. Ray loved to go hunting when he had the opportunity and being outdoors.

Barbara has been by Ray's side for 45 years loving and raising their children together, through thick and thin. She took care of him in sickness and in health as he did her. Barbara and brother Ricky were there for Ray in his health decline,and by his side daily supporting him.

Ray is survived by his wife Barbara Jean daughters Tonya Rae Spurlock , Courtney Breanne Dean , grandchildren Monroe and McKall Spurlock, Dylan Hanna and Cameron and Ariel Dean, son-in-law's James C Spurlock and Jeff Dean.  Brothers Ricky Jackson, Billy Jackson, Randy Jackson sister Beverly Crow and many nephews and nieces.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Daisy Vestal and Raymond Ray Jackson his sons Todd Edward Jackson and Kyle Ray Jackson.

Life is not just about the beginning or the end but the dash in between, and Ray had a lot he had accomplished in that Dash.
We will love him forever, and miss him dearly.

Ray will receive Military Honors on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in DFW National Cemetery with Rev. Matt Walker officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
