Raymond Joe Castillo, most affectionately known as "Popo", passed away on February 11, 2022 in Waxahachie, TX.

Raymond was born on January 21, 1949 in Ennis, TX to Manuel and Catarina (Lopez) Castillo with 9 brothers and sisters.  He married Margaret (Momo) Espinoza on November 8, 1975 in their hometown.  He worked at Leggett & Platt for over 10 years as a metal fabrication specialist and at Able Enterprises for 15yrs as a custom window fabricator.  He was known by many for being a loving and humorous husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone who knew him.  He had a tremendous love for his family, cats, playing the lottery and being in his hometown.  Raymond loved talking to everyone, but he most enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Castillo; children: Neal Castillo and wife Michelle, Adrian Castillo, Elisa Garcia and husband Alfonso; grandchildren: Courtney and husband Caleb, Cristyn, and their mother, Monica Rico, Vanessa, David, Alyssa, Daniel, Nathaniel, Katherine, Isaac, Bryan, Caleb and Cheyenne; 2 great-grandchildren Ella and Lillith; sisters: Carmen Trevino, Emilia Vasquez and Susan Trevino; brother Ernesto Castillo and many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Catarina Castillo, his brothers Ray, Desi (Lelo) and Manuel (Meme) Castillo, sisters Eva Munoz and Maria Delores Castillo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7:00pm.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 10:00am at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Augustine Fuertes as celebrant under the direction of the J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. A celebration of life luncheon will be hosted by the family at the VFW located in Ennis Texas at 12pm.
