Raymond Earl Ethridge, 87, of Cedar Hill, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2023 surrounded by his family. Raymond was born on August 27, 1935 in Rice, Texas to William Clyde Ethridge and Callie (Ferguson) Ethridge. Raymond attended school in Rice, Texas. After a brief stint in the Army, Raymond had various jobs until becoming a truck driver, which he did for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianne Waddell, his daughter Abbie Wood, son Bobby Earl Ethridge and his fiancé Michelle Scott, his grandchildren, Chelsea Cordell and husband Ryan, Clayton Ethridge, Dylan Ethridge, Misty Gutierrez, Rudy Gutierrez and his wife Marissa, Linda Pritchett and her husband Bobby. He was blessed by 10 greatgrandchildren, Callie, Charlotte, and Colton Cordell, Iliana Hernandez, Aleah and Alyssa Hitchcox, Tristan and Aceson Pritchett, Zoey Gutierrez, Reyna Rodriguez, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Mary Sue Ethridge. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Edward Ethridge, Robert Carol Ethridge, William Clyde Ethridge Jr. (stillborn) Gary E. Wood, son in law, and Velita E. Waddell, stepdaughter. Raymond was a great conversationalist and loved to cook. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30. Viewing will be held at J E Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street, Ennis, Texas 75119, from 10 a.m to 12 p.m with graveside services to be held at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery , 5000 Texas Plume Road, Cedar Hill, Texas 75104.

Pallbearers will be: Bobby Pritchett, Tristan Pritchett, Aceson Pritchett, Rudy Gutierrez, Corky Holveck and Ryan Cordell.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Carl Atchley.
