Raymond Wesley Svehlak, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

Raymond was born on December 27, 1934, to Wesley Joe and Emily (Patak) Svehlak in Ennis, Texas. Raymond grew up in Ennis, he attended Ennis High School.

Raymond served in the Korean War from September 1952 to September 1955.

On June 22, 1957, he married Georgia Valek. They made their home in Ennis, Texas.

He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Raymond worked for John Deere for many years and Community Transit Service. Raymond's favorite hobby was fishing; his favorite place was at the Arkansas River.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 67 years, Georgia Svehlak; his children: Sandra and Frank Ryan, Jimmy and Linnea Svehlak, Gary and Robin Svehlak, Debbie and Jim Hart, David Svehlak, and Lisa and Paul O'Brien; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Vrana; brother Dan Svehlak; sister-in-law, Adell Valek.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandsons, Ryan Svehlak and Mathew Svehlak, brothers-in-law: Raymond Honza, Tom Valek and Edward Vrana; sisters-in-law: Ruby Svehlak and Leona Honza.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis, Texas.
