Rex Lee Yackee, 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.

Rex was born on June 19, 1956, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Thomas C. and Frances (Grisier) Yackee. Rex grew up in Wauseon, Ohio and graduated High School there. Rex and the love of his life, Liz Taylor lived side by side together until her death earlier this year.

Rex was a contractor by trade and worked in the construction industry for over twenty-five years. Rex enjoyed being outside and building those special places for his clients. He was a member of the VFW.

Rex is survived by his son, Rex T. Yackee; daughter, Shay Marie Yackee; grandchild, Austin Thomas Yackee; brothers: Pete Yackee and Tim Yackee; sister, Cecilia Nartker along with a host of extended family and friends.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Terry Yackee, daughter, Rachel Yackee and wife, Liz Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
