Ricki Frank Slama, 68, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Ennis, Texas.

Ricki was born in Oak Cliff, Texas on April 13, 1953, to Willie Frank and Sybil (Gilchrist) Slama. Ricki grew up in Oak Cliff and attended school there. On June 20, 1986, he married Debbie Dean and they made their home in Ennis.

Ricki worked for Ellis County for eleven years doing road maintenance and then for Tex Pack for fifteen years as a supervisor. Ricki enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and making klobase.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Debbie Slama; son, Eric Slama; grandchildren: Alexis Sims and Breanna Sims; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Christopher and Tate; two sisters: Rhetta Halbrook and Neena Westin along with a host of extended family, friends and co-workers.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, Bobby Slama, daughter, Laura Sims and brother-in-law, Joe Halbrook.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Lane Grayson officiating.
