Robert Edwin Bolen passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Victoria, Tx to Clyde Wells and Nadine Leach Bolen. He married the love of his life, Jo Ann, in 1979. They had 2 children, Ashley and Caleb.
Robert started his career working in a water plant just like his dad. He learned and grew throughout his career, finally retiring from the city of Ennis after 20 years as the director of public works.
Robert loved his family and always worked hard to provide. His favorite outing was to take his family to the zoo. He also greatly loved his granddaughter and found great pleasure in spoiling her and making her laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; his children, Caleb and Ashley, her husband, Brandon; his granddaughter, Livvie, and his sister, Kathy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nadine and his siblings, Richard, Diana, and Kay.
