Robert (Bob) Henry Fudge went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on August 4, 2025, at the age of 89.

Bob was born in Chatfield, TX on April 8, 1936, to Henry and Laura Fudge.  He grew up in Forney and Waxahachie, TX.    He married his soul mate Mary Elizabeth Hays on May 25, 1956.  They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year.  They made their home in Ennis, TX.  They were both faithful members of Anthony Drive Baptist Church.

Bob worked 42 years as a Carman for the Southern Pacific Railroad which later was bought out by the Union Pacific Railroad. He served as the Chairman of the Local Union.  Bob retired from the railroad in 1998.  Once he retired, he volunteered as a crossing guard at Ennis Intermediate School.

Bob loved serving the Lord and loved his church, Anthony Drive Baptist Church.  He served as Deacon and Treasurer for over 50 years.  If there was any maintenance that needed to be done at the church, Bob would get it done.  He was always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave the church turning on and off the AC/Heat.   Bob also served in the ministry at the Ennis Care Center every Sunday Morning.  He was with this ministry for over 20 years.

Bob is survived by his children, daughter Cindy Toal and husband Richard, daughter Cathy Clark and husband Larry, son Robert Dale Fudge. Grandchildren: Stephanie Toal, Ashley Toal Odom, husband Justin, Robert Wayne Fudge, wife Brittany, Chad Clark, wife Pam, Troy Clark, wife Jamie, Bill Clark, wife Chris. Great Grandchildren: Matthew Havens, Lillian Havens, Taelyn Fudge, William Odom, Morgan Clark Braun, husband Alex, Austin Clark, fiancé Montana, Kaitlin Clark, Delanie Clark. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Robert Braun, Everett and Emmalyn Clark.   One sister-in-law, Betty Fudge.

He is Preceded in Death by his wife of almost 69 years Mary Elizabeth, his son Timothy Wayne Fudge, His Parents Henry Mack Fudge and Laura Arbell Fudge.   Bob was the last sibling to be living out of 6 brothers and 2 sisters.  Sisters: Ruby Mae Fudge Sink and husband Curly Sink, Frances Fudge Wells and husband Travis (Bones).  Brothers: Aubra (Bill) Clark, Earnest (Red) Clark and wife Evelyn, Mack Fudge and wife Gertrude, Edward Fudge and wife Emmagene, TJ Fudge and wife JoAnn, James Fudge.

We would like to give a special thanks to Blue Bonnet Rehab and Bristol Hospice for their efforts, kindness and Care during his final week on this earth. A special shout out to Beth, Dad's nurse that was always there to take that special care of him.

This is not Good-Bye, Dad but a See you Later …in Heaven !
