Robert (Bob) Lee Grant, Jr. passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, peacefully in his sleep in Ennis, Texas.

Bob was born in Pleasanton, Texas on March 20, 1958, the oldest of four boys to Robert Lee Grant, Sr. and Laura Ann (Marley) Gerron. He was a graduate of Ennis High School. In 1980, Bob married the love of his life Brenda Kay (Cottongame) Grant and they raised two boys together, Nathan & Jeffrey.

Bob was a retired mechanic spending many years helping people at Barton's Tire in Ennis, then later Kwik Kar in Ennis and finally retiring from the City of Ennis. Bob loved his wife, his family, the outdoors and playing pool at VFW Post #7106.

Bob (mostly known as Bob-Bob in his family) was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Those who came to know him in his small circle of friends and family knew he had a big heart and enjoyed helping people.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Grant, parents Robert Lee Grant, Sr. & Laura Gerron, stepfather Elige P. Gerron and brother David Grant.

He is survived by sons Nathan Grant and wife Amanda of Ennis, Jeffrey Grant and wife Leah of Ennis, grandchildren Tabitha Arreguin and husband Gonzalo of Winona, Texas, Evan Grant of Ennis, Laura Grant of Ennis, David Grant of Ennis, one great-grandchild Hadleigh Arreguin as well as two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 6pm-8pm and a celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 10am at JE Keever Mortuary, Inc., 408 N. Dallas Street in Ennis. A special thank you from the family to Legend Oaks of Ennis & Bristol Hospice for the love and care shown which provided the family with countless more valuable days with Bob.
