Robert Perez, 83, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Monday, July 27, 2020.

Robert was born in Santa Rosa, Texas on February 1, 1937 to Esquiel and Anita (Valon) Perez.  On September 1, 1957 he married Sofia Tellez and they lived in Refugio, Texas until moving to Ennis in 1999.

Robert was a farmer for his entire life.  He was a member of the Catholic Church.  Robert loved selling his watermelons and watching football.

Robert is survived by a son, Christopher Perez; Beatriz Garcia and her husband, Arturo, Sylvia Perez and Norma Perez; brothers: Ismael Perez and wife, Virginia, Pablo Perez and Lupe Perez; sisters: Adela Rodriquez, Refugia Perez, Alicia Hernandez, Juanita Perez, Aurora Villanueva and Esther Armadillo; thirteen grandchildren: twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esquiel and Anita Perez, his beloved wife, Sofia Perez; brother: Gilberto Perez, sisters; Santos Castilla and Ermelinda Gomez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.  Pallbearers will be Elias Culpepper, Isaiah Culpepper, Isaac Perez, Cedric Berlanga, Christopher Perez, Jr., Lucas Ruffin and Anthony Martinez.
