Rodrigo Ramos Arteaga, aged 68, went to be with the Lord on Friday March 1, 2024 at 6:28 am. Rodrigo was greatly loved by his family and friends, and surrounded by them in his final days.

Rodrigo was born on August 5, 1955, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Rodrigo and Julia Arteaga, He grew up in Ennis, and at an early age became well known for his mechanical abilities. Rodrigo Married his wife Helen Katherine Glaspy on November 9, 1991, and they made their home in Ennis.

Rodrigo worked as an Auto-Mechanic for well over 40 years, where he built a stellar reputation for his skills, as well as his compassion and willingness to help others. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish, along with spending great moments with his family and friends around a campfire. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. There was not much in life that he did not enjoy, as was representative of his always positive attitude.

Rodrigo is preceded in death by his parents, Rodrigo and Julia Arteaga, his brother Michael Arteaga, sister Rosa Arteaga, and son Collin Rogelio Arteaga. He is survived by his wife of thirty plus years Katy Arteaga, Sons; Rodrigo Arteaga III, Jessie Arteaga and wife Jessica; daughters, Julia Huff and husband David, Mary Stringfellow and husband Todd, Alyssa Arteaga, Olivia Arteaga and Tomie Arteaga and Damian Corbin, along with fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; six brothers and six sisters along with their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved tremendously.

The service will be held at J.E. Keever's Thursday March 7th at 2:00 PM with fellowship to follow at St. Thomas Episcopal in Ennis.
