Roman Robert Kasowski (91) passed on to his heavenly reward on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Roman was born to Maggie (Koscielniak) Kasowski and Mike Kasowski on July 14, 1932, in Marlin Texas. He served his country as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War from 1953 thru 1955.  On May 19, 1956, he married the love of his life Theresa Berger and they made their home in Houston, then Dallas, and finally settled in Ennis in 1972.

Roman worked for Johnson Controls battery company for 40 years, serving as superintendent of the plant. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and KJT.

He was a devoted father and loving husband.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and taking care of his home side by side with Theresa. He loved dancing on Saturday night with friends and family, but never missed an early morning Sunday Mass.  He was the patriarch of his large Polish family taking care of his older sisters and providing guidance and support to his large extended family.

Roman, fondly known as Papa, doted on his four grandchildren, Jarod, Abby, Rachel and Jake and 3 great grandchildren Greyson, Brody and Roman Reed.  He taught them to fish at his stock pond, drive cars in the back 10 acres of his farm and played "restaurant" for hours on end with them.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, loving wife Theresa, 5 sisters, 3 brothers and an infant son Kenny.  He is survived by his daughter, Debbie and her husband Thomas (T-Bone) Liska; son, Ron Kasowski and his wife Elaine; four grandchildren Jarod Hunter and wife, Trista; Abby Westbrook and husband, Adam; Rachel Dillard and husband Hunter; Jake Kasowski and wife Annie; three great grandchildren: Greyson and Brody Hunter and Roman Reed Westbrook and numerous nieces and nephews.

On Friday, November 24th, Roman's family will host a Rosary at J. E. Keever Mortuary Ennis Texas at 9:30 a.m. and immediately following, a funeral Mass at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of the following funds:
