Ronald (Sonny) Davis was born in Ennis, Texas, June 20, 1936. His parents were Zeb Davis and Emma Aldridge. Ronald married the love of his life Joyce Ann Puckett on June 20, 1953. Ronald and Joyce were married 68 years. The couple had two daughters: Debra and Teresa and one son, Ronald. Starting soon after their marriage, Ronald began a career in the construction industry as a Tile Contractor. He dearly loved outdoor activities whether it was fishing, hunting, sport, or family outings including vacationing. His hobbies of woodworking, cabinetry, billiards, and golf kept him busy. Ronald had a passion for bowling. He bowled on adult leagues for decades and served as league secretary. As a coach and mentor to junior bowlers, years later he enjoyed seeing youth he coached on the PBA tour,

Ronald is survived by his wife, Joyce Davis; sister-in-law, Nancy McKennon; daughter, Debra Williams and husband, Dennis Williams, daughter, Teresa King and husband, Steve King, son, Ronald Scott Davis and wife, Laurie Ribble Davis, grandson, Mark Caldwell and wife, Angela Caldwell, grandson, Kyle Caldwell, grandson, Chad Caldwell and wife, Cari Caldwell, grandson, Korey Davis, grandson, Colton Davis, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by father, mother, and nine brothers and sisters. Ronald was the baby of ten children.

Ronald was a loving, patient, and caring husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from noon until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Steve Knott officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Caldwell, Chad Caldwell, Aaron Caldwell, Zachary Caldwell, Brad Zhanel and Jared Rudd. Interment will follow in Rice Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
