Born December 9, 1929 in Lampasas to Rosa Evelyn Grumbles-Faught, Rosalee was a Native Texan through and through. Growing up in San Saba in the era of the Depression, she cherished the strength of family life, appreciated the security of having a home and knew the value of a dollar. On August 31, 1947 she married Raymond Floyd Wilson. The couple farmed, raised livestock in the San Saba area until the 1950's, moving to Dallas where they lived for 20 years. In 1972 they realized a lifelong Dream when buying a farm south of Ennis. Rosalee remained there until her recent death. Her career included working for Dallas Independent School District Food Service, Ennis Independent School District Food Service and later in life for H&R Block. After the death of Floyd in 1995 Rosalee enjoyed companionship and traveling with her friend of 60 years, JL Davee.

Rosalee had many joys in Life. She loved music, with George Strait and Elvis being her favorite artists. If anxious or sleepless she would sing: "You're Something Special to Me". For her 80th Birthday she completed a bucket list item by visiting Graceland. She loved to talk, never met a stranger, didn't pass up on any deal she could make, collected coupon after coupon and excelled at sewing and quilting. The hallmark of her memorable personality was that she always knew what she wanted. Never afraid to tell you her thoughts, she would sweetly be referred to as "bossy flossy". In recent times she could be seen daily on her riding mower, head adorned with a floppy straw hat, mowing her yard of every blade of grass. No grass to mow? She would use her riding mower to pick up sticks and fallen twigs from the crepe myrtles in front of her house, always giving a cheery wave to passersby.

Rosalee is also preceded in death by her daughter Evelyn Marie Wilson-Smith, sister Dixie Marie Robbins, mother Rosa Evelyn Grumbles-Faught, stepfather J. C. Faught and lifelong friend JL Davee.

She is survived by Daughter-Mahala Jean Wilson-Thornton and husband Fred, Daughter-Annette Wilson and husband Barry Taylor, Granddaughter-Christina Marie Smith-Green and husband Lance, Granddaughter-Angela Christine Thornton, Grandson-David Wilson Thornton and wife Tabatha, Granddaughter-Evelyn Charlene Smith-Molina and husband John, Niece-Mary Linda Robbins-Sultana, Nephew- Billy Jack Robbins and wife Carolyn, Niece- Sheila Marie Robbins-Johnston and husband Glen and Son-in-Law Jimmy Smith. Also, her beloved great granddaughters- Lauren Neagle, Caitlin Green, Savanah Thornton and Autumn Thornton.

Rosalee will be laid to rest next to her husband Raymond Floyd Wilson at Rice Cemetery, Rice, Texas. Visitation is January 21, 2022 from 12pm to 130pm at JE Keever Mortuary of Ennis, Texas following with a graveside service at 2pm.
