Ruby Anita Grammer, was born December 12, 1936 to William Dallas Steele and Ruby Long Steele.

She attended school in Chatfield, Avalon and finished her schooling in Bardwell, Texas.

In July of 1952 she married Chester Wayne Grammer from Bardwell, Texas.  They made their home in Ennis, Lancaster and settled in Tool, Texas in 1967

Nita (as she is known by her family) she retired from Ensearch Oil and Gas Corporation, where she was Secretary to the Vice-President of the Company.  After her retirement she operated an Antique Shop, antiques were something that she enjoyed working with.

Anita is survived by three sons: Danny, Mike and wife Shirley and Steve; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, WD Steele, Jr. and sister, Kay Lynn Seabolt.

She loved her family, she enjoyed cooking and most of her all she enjoyed sewing.  Her sewing machine was always up and she was always working on a project or making something for someone in the family.

She loved Christmas time, her home was always decorated for Christmas and there were always plenty home bake goodies at her house.  She looked forward to Christmas especially having her family coming to visit so she could cook and play with the little ones.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Wayne Grammer and her parents, Dallas and Ruby Steele.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. until noon in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at noon in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rev. Grady Cashion officiating.  Pallbearers will be Lars Grammer, Ladd Grammer, Chess Grammer, Seth Grammer, Justin Grammer, Drake Grammer, Logan Grammer and Eric Sioris.  Interment will follow in the Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
