Obituary

Russell Adrian Mills, 58, went home to meet his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from Mansfield, Texas. Russell was born on November 3, 1961 in Ganado, Texas to R.A. and Vernon (Gary) Mills. He graduated High School from Deer Park Schools in 1980. Russell received his BS Degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God College. On May 18, 1984 Russell married his sweetheart and helpmate LaDonnna Garrett they made their home in Kingsville, Texas and multiple other locations in Texas, Arkansas, and California coming back home to Ennis in 2017.

Russell followed the leading of the Lord for his life as he ministered for over thirty-five years serving as Pastor with the Church of God. Russell was the founding pastor of Grace Tabernacle Church. Family and friends were very important to Russell along with his service to the church. Russell is survived by his wife of over thirty-six years, LaDonna G. Mills; son, Reagan Mills; daughters: Rebekah Mills, Rachel Rushing and husband, Michael and Lindsey Mills; three grandchildren; Zoey, Zayliegh-Lynn and Zion; sister, Betty Elis and husband, Lloyd; niece, Jean Clifton along with a host of extended family and friends.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the New Life Worship Center, 1320 Brown Street, Waxahachie with Pastors Jody Rogers and Edwin Lipsey officiating.  Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
