Shannon Marie Wilson, 47, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at her home in Ennis, Texas.

Shannon was born January 21, 1974, in Sharon, Connecticut, to Wayne and Linda (Valyou) Recore.  She grew up in Millbrook, New York and attended schools there, graduating in 1993.  She married Mark Wilson in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 19, 1996 and they made their home in Oxnard, California.  She served in the United States Navy as a Seabee.

She worked for Methodist Rehab Hospital as an Administrative Associate and for Red Oak Senior Care for 12 years as the Activities Director.  She loved camping and loved to tell stories.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Wilson; sons: Nicholas Wilson (Elli), Nathan Wilson; Father, Wayne Recore and Mother, Linda Abouowf; sister, Jamie Freed and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral Service will be held at First Methodist Church, Red Oak, Texas on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Alexander, officiating.  Interment will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.  Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Josh Williams, Ron Freed, John Young and Nick Durazo.
