Sharon Kay Rittenhouse, 76, of Palmer passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Ennis, Texas.

Sharon was born on December 4, 1943 in Galveston, Texas to Herbert and Sadie (Pachetag) Dethloff.  Sharon grew up in Galveston and graduated from Ball High School in 1962.  She went on to achieve a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.  On February 5, 1965 Sharon married the love of her life William J. Rittenhouse, II and they made their home in Plano before settling in Palmer.

Sharon worked for Mobil Oil Company as a Manager of General Services until her retirement in 1990 and was the owner of For the Love of Dolls.  Sharon had many things she enjoyed in life including cross stitch, a love of collecting dolls and flower gardening.  Sharon's family was the joy of her life and she loved her dogs.

Sharon leaves behind her loving family including her son, William J. Rittenhouse, III; daughter, Kimberly Miller and her husband, Mike; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert J. Dethloff and wife, Cindy along with a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Rittenhouse, II; her parents and daughter-in-law Sherrie Rittenhouse.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Palmer.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Palmer with David Ramsey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
