Stephen Alan Harvey was born on December 6, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri, to parents Billy J. Harvey and Qussie E. (Gideon) Harvey.  He passed into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 7:00 a.m. in McAllen, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, J. V. and Vera Gideon and Vernon and Inez Harvey.

Stephen grew up in Mexico as the son of missionaries Bill and Qussie Harvey and accepted Christ as his Savior in the Bible Baptist Church in Cd. Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico in 1963. He studied grade school and Jr. High School in Mexico and graduated from High School at John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas. Additional studies in business were made in Harlingen.

Stephen enjoyed traveling to ski camps in Colorado and a variety of sports.  He loved Mexico and trips to Zacatecas, Guanajuato.  He was a classmate of Earl Campbell.

He was active in church and had many friends in Mexico, Tyler and Palmer.  All who knew him loved him and enjoyed being with him. We will miss him terribly but know he is with Jesus, well and happy in Heaven.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at J. E. Keever Palmer Chapel with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Miller of the Fundamental Baptist Church of Palmer officiating.  Interment will be in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
