Stephen Bryan King, age 71, passed away Saturday morning, November 27, 2021, in Ennis. He was born February 26, 1950, to Mervin and Etta Mae King in Waxahachie, Texas. After graduating from Midlothian High School in 1968, he attended Texas State Technical School in Waco, Texas. He worked as an airplane mechanic for a short time before going to work for Dallas Power and Light. In 2010 he retired from Exelon with 39 years of service with the electric companies.

On July 26, 1975, Steve married the love of his life Carolyn Davidson. They made their home in Ennis for the entire 46 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan King, his parents, and his sister Karen Chapman.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, a daughter Sabrina Rivera of Copperas Cove, Texas and her husband John Rivera, their grandchildren Caleb Rivera of Austin, Sarah Rivera, and Joshua Rivera of Copperas Cove.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at J.E. Keever Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:00 am at Myrtle Cemetery.
