In Loving Memory of Teodulfo "Tonga" Nino

With profound sadness, yet immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Teodulfo "Tonga" Nino , who entered into the loving embrace of our Lord on July 16, 2026 .

Born on November 18, 1970 , in the Rancho de Corazones in San Luis Potosí, Mexico , Teodulfo carried with him the values of hard work, resilience, faith, and family. The lessons he learned growing up shaped the compassionate, humble, and generous man who touched the lives of so many.

Teodulfo was preceded in death by his beloved father, Margarito Nino Morales , whose love and memory remained with him throughout his life.

A devoted husband to Cristina Nino , Teodulfo's greatest joy was his family. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. He was a proud and loving father to Ruby, Rey, Victor, Janessa, Jadira (Lily), and Avery , dedicating himself to providing for them, supporting their dreams, and loving them unconditionally.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Refugia Leija Alvarez ; his siblings, Martin, Ester, Jose, Cesar, Julio, Catalina, Florencia, Abel, Jesus and Adrian , along with their partners; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and friendship.

Known to all as "Tonga," he was a man who never met a stranger. With his warm smile, contagious laughter, and genuine heart, he made everyone feel welcomed and valued. His humor could brighten any room, and his home was always a place where family and friends gathered, shared stories, and created memories. No one ever left hungry, thirsty, or without feeling cared for.

Teodulfo believed in the importance of hard work and helping others. He gave freely of his time, talents, and heart, always willing to lend a hand without expecting anything in return. He found joy in life's simple blessings—working with his hands, sharing meals, laughing with loved ones, and making those around him feel like family.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through the values he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him: love deeply, work with integrity, welcome others with open arms, help generously, and cherish every moment.

Teodulfo will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

En Amorosa Memoria de Teodulfo "Tonga" Niño

Con profunda tristeza, pero con inmensa gratitud por una vida plenamente vivida, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Teodulfo "Tonga" Niño , quien partió al encuentro de Nuestro Señor el 16 de julio de 2026 .

Nacido el 18 de noviembre de 1970 en el Rancho de Corazones, San Luis Potosí, México, Teodulfo llevó consigo, a lo largo de toda su vida, los valores del trabajo, la fortaleza, la fe y el amor por la familia. Las enseñanzas de su tierra natal forjaron al hombre humilde, generoso y compasivo que dejó una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Le precedió en la eternidad su amado padre, Margarito Niño Morales , cuyo recuerdo permaneció siempre en su corazón.

Fue un esposo ejemplar y amoroso de Cristina Niño , con quien formó una familia que fue el mayor orgullo y la razón de su vida. Fue un padre dedicado y amoroso para Ruby, Rey, Víctor, Janessa, Jadira (Lily) y Avery , entregándose por completo a ellos, brindándoles su apoyo, protección y amor incondicional.

También le sobreviven su querida madre, Refugia Leija Álvarez ; sus hermanos Martín, Ester, José, César, Julio, Catalina, Florencia, Abel, Jesus y Adrian , junto con sus respectivas parejas; además de numerosos sobrinos, familiares y amigos, quienes siempre recordarán su bondad, generosidad y amistad sincera.

Para su familia y amigos siempre fue simplemente "Tonga" . Era de esas personas que nunca conocían extraños. Con una sonrisa cálida, un gran sentido del humor y un corazón noble, hacía sentir bienvenido a todo aquel que llegaba a su hogar. Su risa era contagiosa y su presencia llenaba de alegría cualquier reunión.

Su casa siempre tuvo las puertas abiertas. Nadie se iba sin compartir una comida, una conversación o una sonrisa. Siempre estaba dispuesto a tender la mano a quien lo necesitara, ofreciendo su tiempo, su esfuerzo y su corazón sin esperar nada a cambio.

Teodulfo encontró la felicidad en las cosas sencillas de la vida: trabajar con sus manos, convivir con su familia y amigos, compartir historias y crear recuerdos que hoy vivirán para siempre en quienes lo amaron.

Aunque su partida deja un vacío imposible de llenar, su legado permanecerá vivo en los valores que sembró en su familia: amar sin condiciones, trabajar con honestidad, recibir a todos con los brazos abiertos, ayudar al prójimo y valorar cada momento junto a los seres queridos.

Teodulfo será profundamente extrañado, eternamente amado y siempre recordado.
