Timothy Wade Moorehead, age 78 died peacefully at his home on April 4, 2025 with his daughters Kelly and Tammy, including grandson Josh by his side.

Tim was born on August 17, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert and Miriam (Fowle) Lonis and is preceded in death by his wife Lynne, brothers Geoffrey Moorehead, Robert Moorehead, mother Miriam Near, step father Richard Near, and father Joseph Moorehead Sr. Tim is survived by his daughters Kelly and Tammy Reese, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Joseph Moorehead Jr, of Galena, Ohio, sisters Ruth (Near) Sparks of Galena, Ohio, and Anne (Near) Black of Westerville, Ohio, six nephews. Tim was enlisted in the US Army and served honorably upon discharge in 1968.

He was a strong, intelligent, and conscientious man who went through his early life with a mixture of family distress and intermissions of genuine happiness. Quick-witted and handsome with an engaging personality, he was a self-made individual who managed to survive the turbulent early years giving him a "strong foundation when the winds of changes shift".

He retired in 2012 from the metal working industry as a designer, fabricator, and operations foreman for precision machined and formed mechanical components and assemblies. His work involved electronic, computer, automotive, and aircraft components and structures.

He was a great automotive mechanic who had a deep passion for vintage GM automobiles from the 1950s and 60s. A proud owner of a black 1957 Chevy Belair, and 1966 Pontiac GTO.

Tim was raised in the Methodist Church and read the Holy Bible, and although not an active member of the church, he always held the conviction of life everlasting. He would find more religion in a quiet wooded forest over a church pew and sermon.

A beloved husband, grandfather, father, uncle, son, and brother who will be deeply missed and never ever forgotten until we are reunited.
