Tommy Joe McIntosh, 74, passed away November 24,2021 in Corsicana, Tx.

Tommy was born in Rosebud, Tx, September 18, 1947, to John Norman and Ruth Lee McIntosh. He graduated Rosebud Lott High School and went to work soon after graduating at American Desk. Not long after he moved to Ennis to begin a 40 plus year career with the railroad. Clerking for Southern Pacific Railroad, as Regional Field Manager for the Union Pacific Railroad and finally Director of Operations at Texas Central Business Lines.

He met Charlotte Gail Taylor in 1970. They married April 9, that same year and had a lovely 51-year marriage. They made their home in Ennis and in 1974 were blessed with a daughter, Stephanie Dawn. The family joined Baylor Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

They built a house and moved to Telico, Tx in the mid 1980's, where his handyman skills were always required. He even took up beekeeping. He had a great love for animals, but nothing could compare to his love for his girls. He was a truly devoted family man.

He enjoyed reading, fishing and hunting. He was a gifted storyteller and loved telling stories about growing up in Rosebud and life in a simpler time. He was an outstanding cook and a master on the grill. He found such great pleasure cooking for and spending time with his friends and family.

Retiring in 2012, he renewed is passion for Masonic work. He worked through the degrees and served many positions within his beloved lodge in Ennis, TX. He became Worshipful Master. He was a Master Mason and members of both the Scottish Rite and the Shriner's.

Tommy and Charlotte moved from their home in Ellis County to Corsicana, TX to be near Stephanie and their two grandchildren: Cash and Dixie. It was at this time in his life he found his calling as Santa Tommy. Not only did he look like, but he was the epitome of Santa Claus. Generous, warm hearted and a smile at all times. One of his proudest moments was when he was asked to be the City of Ennis Santa. He enjoyed home visits and he brought true joy to people of all ages year-round. This wonderful man will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Norman McIntosh and Ruth Lee McIntosh and son Christopher David McIntosh.

He is survived by wife, Charlotte McIntosh, daughter Stephanie Chandler and husband Dustin two grand children Cash McIntosh Chandler and Dixie Dawn Chandler of Corsicana. Brother John Lee McIntosh and wife Kathey of Ennis; nephew and nieces all of Ennis; Max McIntosh, Becky McIntosh and Kathleen Roberts.

Visitation will be at JE Keever Mortuary Ennis, TX 6-8 pm Monday November 29, 2021

Service will be held at the Chapel of JE Keever Mortuary Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 10 am.
