Trudy Ann Rankin, 74, passed away surrounded by loved ones at her home on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Ennis, Texas.

Trudy was born in Conroe, Texas on January 30, 1948 to Albert and Ruby Budai. She was the oldest of 6 siblings. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School, Class of 1966.

Trudy enjoyed studying the Bible every day. She loved piddling in her yard and growing all kinds of plants and flowers. She took great joy in this, always saying "there was something about putting your hands in the earth, that it renews the soul." She spent an enormous amount of time in the kitchen making anything her family requested while enjoying a cup of coffee, beer or glass of wine, depending on the time of day. She took her first trip to the beach last year and loved every minute of it. She will dearly be missed by her family and all those that knew her, as well as her two pups Mayhem and Mischief.

Trudy is survived by her children: son, David Wolfe and wife Stacy of Kerens, son, Aaron Wolfe and wife Daisy of Malakoff, daughter, Tracey Langley of Ennis, son, David Rankin and wife Melanie of Telico, and daughter Leah Hinchliffe of Ennis. Grandchildren: BJ Wolfe and wife Eryka, DJ Harris and wife Sonia, Stephan Wolfe and wife Katelyn, Hannah Wolfe, Nathan Rankin, Shane Billings and wife Shelia, Erica and husband Cody, and Aaron Dlabaj. Great-Grandchildren: Caden, Hadlei, Emma, Lyla, Amelia, Ayda, Christopher, Ava, Cecilia, Everett, Scarlet, Ethan, Presley, and Grayson. She is also survived by her siblings, Linda Lott of Ennis, Clayton Budai and wife Pat of Ennis, Steve Budai of Red Oak, Debbie Monroe and husband Gary of Waxahachie, and Karen Budai of Ennis.

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnny Rankin, grandchildren, Colt and Jasmine, brother in law, Leslie Lott, son in law Donald Jay Langley and son-in law Randy Hinchliffe.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Mark Richardson officiating, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
