Una Rae Tucker Mahaley, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Una Rae was born in Canton, Texas, on January 29, 1939 to Carl L. and Laura (Eubanks) Tucker. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1957. Una Rae went on to East Texas State University to receive degrees in English and Drama. In June of 1964 she married Donald Mahaley and they moved several times while Don was in the service and finally moved to Dallas, then DeSoto and settled in Ennis. Una Rae was a Jr. High and High School teacher for fifteen years, was the owner of Sewing Things for five years and worked for Century 21 in sales for nine years.  Una Rae was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and sewing.

Una Rae is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Donald Mahaley; son, Greg Mahaley and wife, Laura; daughter Kellye Mahaley Keliher and husband, Patrick; four grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Una Rae is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will be held at a later date.
