Vera Macon, 93, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

Vera was born in Alma, Texas on February 15, 1927 to Walker J. and Rosa T. (Langley) Stewart.  Vera grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School.  On December 26, 1946 Vera married Howard C. Macon and they made their home in Ennis.

Vera was the owner of Baylor Laundry and had worked as an office administrator for Ennis Business Forms and for WalMart.  Vera was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

She is survived by sons: Mike Macon and Robert Macon; daughter, Bonnie Connelley; seven grandchildren: eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
