Vickie Lynn (Barham) Money was born on January 15, 1948 in Paris, Texas. Her parents were L.B. and Geraldine Keith. She grew up in Paris and Ennis, Texas. She met her late husband, Tommy E. Money of Ennis, Texas in the early spring of 1967, and they were married a few months later. Tommy was then a young enlisted man in the United States Army, thus began her main role in life, a military spouse. Tommy's career in the military took them to Germany, Holland, and many states all over the US. Vickie became the loving mother of 5 children. Along with being a caring and devoted wife and mother, she also worked as a military librarian from time to time. Tommy and Vickie's loving and adventurous marriage spanned 45 years. Tommy preceded her in death in 2012. Not only was Vickie an adoring and supportive mother, she was also a caring grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

When her children had grown up, she felt the need to follow her drive for education. Her passion for knowledge led her to enroll at Navarro College and graduate as the Valedictorian of her class with her associates in paralegal law studies. To say she was an avid reader would be a huge understatement. Many of her family members will cherish memories of Oma being surrounded by her books. It was not uncommon for her to be reading 2 or 3 books at a time. She passed on her love of books to several of her children and grandchildren.

To know Vickie is to know her love. She always opened her home to service people who could not get home for the holidays. She gave often gave her support to others in need. She was always quick with an encouraging word or a hug. Proverbs 31 speaks of a woman who is "clothed in strength and dignity", and a woman who "speaks with wisdom". Everyone who knew Vickie knew these described her beautifully. Not only do her children call her blessed, but her grandchildren and great grandchildren do as well.

Vickie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Money, her mother and father L.B. and Geraldine Keith. She is survived by her children Sean and Christie Money, Shannon and Jennifer Money, Sonja and Robb Axelrod, Shane and Debra Money, and Sasha Money. She is also survived by her many grandchildren Brittany and Tyler, Jeffery, Amanda, Michael , Zoey, Cayde, Cameron, Destini, Mikaylah, Aurora, Kolton, and Bennett; and great-grandchildren Henry and Emelia. Vickie is also survived by her sister, Robin Gage, her husband Bobby, and her family.

Friends and family whose lives have been touched by our beloved Vickie are invited to the J. E. Keever Mortuary (Palmer Chapel), 200 W. Jefferson St. Palmer, TX 75152 on Sunday, April 3rd from 3pm-5pm for visitation and on Monday, April 4th at 10am for the service. There will also be a short graveside service at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, TX 75211 on Monday, April 4th at 2:15.

The family asks that if you feel led, to wear purple for Vickie.  Purple was her favorite color.
