William Warren Gibbons, beloved father and grandfather, who adored his grandchildren, a resident of Ennis, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 88. William was born on May 27, 1937, in Denton, Texas, the son of Berneice and Warren Sparks Gibbons. He grew up in Argyle and Haltom City. On July 8, 1960, he was married to Oletha Mae Stewart of North Richland Hills. After their marriage they lived in Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Howe, Lubbock, and Duncanville. In 1997 they moved to Ennis. Oletha passed away in 2003.

William is survived by his wife, Kay Frances Martin Gibbons, of Waxahachie. He is also survived by his son and his wife, Michael and Laura Gibbons of Wimberley; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Charles Peek of Springdale, Arkansas, and Pam and Dean Craig of Midlothian, Texas. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Justin and Sarah Peek of Springdale, Arkansas, Philip and Stephanie Peek of Trussville, Alabama, Kimberly Peek of Tontitown, Arkansas, Caroline and Seth Johnston of Dallas, Texas, Sarah and Ryan Hackett of Rogers, Arkansas, Holly and Garrett Cornett of Ennis, Texas, and Cody and Kalee Craig of Waxahachie, Texas.

Additionally, he is survived by nine great-grandchildren. Shya, Callie, and Presley Peek; Neely and Sam O'Meara; Jane and Luke Johnston; and Izzy and Mia Hackett.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home (J. E. Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street, Ennis, TX) from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, March 7.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Keever Chapel of Ennis, Texas, with Mike Gibbons and Charles Peek officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
