Wilma Emily Mach of Telico, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 8th 2022 at the age of 102. Wilma was the sixth of nine children. She was born in Ennis, Texas on March 14th 1920 to her parents Anton W. Janousek and Hermina Kudrna-Janousek. Wilma's parents were both born in the Czech Republic and both immigrated to and settled in Ennis, Texas where they were married on August 1st 1909. Wilma left her parents farm to marry her husband William 'Willy' Lee Mach and they acquired their own farm in Telico and remained there for the rest of their lives.

Although Wilma and Willy never had children you could say they helped raise many of them as so many of their nieces, nephews and cousins would stay with them for weekends or a week; and their neighbors kids could stay when their parents just needed some baby sitting or a holiday.

After Willy passed away on December 24th 1968, Wilma remained on her farm for another 42 years growing gardens, raising a few cattle, chickens, ducks and growing hay for the barn and still raising a few of the neighbors kids as needed. Wilma truly enjoyed cooking and baking when not farming. Anyone dropping by her place was going to be offered a meal or two, or three! When leaving Wilma might even send you home with some of her canned goods from the garden.

When Wilma could no longer walk she spent the remainder of her life in the Legend Oaks Nursing Home in Ennis, TX for eleven and a half years. The family's thanks go out to all the nurses, aides (CNA's & CMA's) therapists, cooks, cleaners and staff for their years of compassion for Wilma's care.

Svehlak-Shurden & husband Herman of Lewisville, TX - Ella Svehlak-Valek & husband Robert of Ennis, TX – Carolyn Janousek-Buckner of De Soto, TX – Georgia Janousek Swindle of Mineola TX. Nephews: Lawrence J. Svehlak & wife Linda of Dallas– Kenneth E. Svehlak & wife Sue of Ennis TX. - Lawrence (Larry) Janousek & wife Carla of Granbury, TX. – Richard Schwarz III of De Soto, TX.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents Anton W. Janousek & Hermina Kudrna-Janousek. Brothers: Anton M., Lewis A., Otto W., Emil S. & Walter E. Janousek. Sisters: Hermina Janousek, Marie Janousek-Svehlak & Ella Janousek-Schwarz and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers for Wilma Mach: Herman Shurden, Robert Valek, Lawrence 'Larry' Janousek, William 'Bill' Svehlak, Gary Swindle, Patrick Swindle.  Honorary pallbearers: Lawrence J. Svehlak, Kenneth E. Svehlak, Jeffrey Buckner, Jason Buckner.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mach will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the J. E. Keever Chapel, Ennis, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ennis, Texas.
